DROM is a tribute to utopia and the visionary, to the ability of imaging something else, something better, DROM is about society as a body and body as a society. It is based on Margaret Cavendish "The Blazing World", the first science fiction novel written 1666. A dreamy parallell world is created where the audience can move around a human-like figure in colossal format. By donating their innermost desires, the audience causes the body to become alive, lift and move in the air. The piece continues uninterruptedly with a series of songs and events that replace each other. As if on an exhibition, the audience stay as long as they want. 

FMR Production has created the concept, musical composition, the text and the visual framework. Zirkus Loko-Motiv is responsible for sculpture and participation with the audience. The Great Learning Orchestra contributes with orchestra, choir and and soloists. 

The audience's presence in the room creates a new reality, and combined with the advanced technology of the mechatronically controlled body, partly Frankenstein's monster partly evidence of human interaction which together forms an unholy alliance of game rule pleasure and technically inferno. Everyone participates on the same conditions and carries a part of the responsibility - to make the figure come to life and make the performance work. The music creates a sonic ambience with individual contributions, songs or text pieces.
